Taxpayers charged $150,000 to answer a question from an MP

City councillors voted 6-1 March 15 to spend approximately $74,000 to purchase the propeller from Van Heyghen Recycling in Belgium.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) released documents today showing the cost of negotiating dams in northern Manitoba has now skyrocketed to $220 million ($223,600,000 including Bipole III). In the past, whistleblowers raised concerns about some of the funds being used to pay people to attend meetings and door prizes such as Xboxes, TVs and deepfreezes.

The Canadian government is wasting $28 million on remembering the War of 1812--including $1 million in B.C., 4,000 kms away from any battle site.
