Globalfest in Calgary gets Federal Funds

Globalfest Calgary is Ottawa's latest target for so-called tourism stimulus spending. However, its grant comes so late, organizers proved they could run the event successfully without it. Scott Hennig, Alberta Director for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation says there's no proof that any of the $100 million given by Ottawa for this event, or anything else in this program, was a wise use of tax dollars.
