Kevin Gaudet meets with Prime Minister Harper

Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) Federal director Kevin Guadet met with Prime Minister Stephen Harper at the end of May to discuss issues of importance to taxpayers.

One of the issues high on the CTF's agenda is an end to corporate welfare and particularly auto bailouts, which the CTF has stridently opposed since they were first proposed.

Kevin Gaudet presented a $40 carving set (knife and fork) to the Prime Minister. The card said "Happy 50th birthday. Every PM needs this for Sunday dinner, budget preparations, dealing with political foes and Taxpayer.com spokespeople."

Canada's Federal Debt

The federal government is adding $135 million a day to our debt. At this rate, the $105-billion in debt repayment between 1997 – 2008 will be wiped out next year. Support our campaign for a federal balanced budget law and help us STOP this clock.
