Municipalities Treated Well By Wall Government
February 28, 2014Saskatchewan is growing and needs to spend more money on things such as roads and sewers to accommodate more people. Few would argue with that claim. But given some of the huge tax increases municipalities are passing on to taxpayers, one can rightly ask – why are the tax increases so high?
Wall Can't Ignore Inefficiencies
February 13, 2014Premier Brad Wall mused recently about raising “education” property taxes and using the money to fix roads and build bridges. While it’s inappropriate to tell the public you’re taxing them to fund K-12 “education” and then turn around and use the money for something else, it’s also unnecessary. There’s still plenty of inefficient spending in government that should be rooted out before ever considering raising taxes.

United Nations Lets Down People On Reserves
October 18, 2013While stories of bullying and corruption on aboriginal reserves in Canada are fairly common, don’t expect the United Nations’ upcoming report on aboriginal affairs in our country to discuss such problems. It seems like the UN is gearing up for issuing another report that simply calls for the tried and failed approach of throwing more money at the problem.
