The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) released its 12th Annual Gas Tax Honesty Day Report today to inform Canadians across the country on the amount of taxes they pay at the pump and to hold governments accountable for how those dollars are spent.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) responded to the dome feasibility study today by renewing its call for public input before tax dollars are used to build a new domed stadium in Regina. The CTF is asking the province to let taxpayers decide between funding a new $430 million dome and fixing up Mosaic Stadium for $6 million.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) released details today on $11.5 million of film subsidies for 2008-09. The subsidies were handed out through the Saskatchewan Film Employment Tax Credit (SFETC), a program that pays up to 55 per cent of the labour costs for producing films in the province.

This morning, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) presented its annual pre-budget submission in a meeting with Finance Minster, Hon. Rod Gantefoer. The report, “Sailing Through Rough Waters,” calls for a continued reduction in school taxes, restraining spending and facilitating a greater role for the private sector in health care.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Craig as CTF spokesperson for the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Mr. Craig’s new title will be Prairie Director and will serve in that capacity from his office in Winnipeg with regular trips to Saskatchewan.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is calling on the provincial government to scrap plans to implement its new corporate welfare program, Innovation Saskatchewan. The program would allocate $25 million each year towards Saskatchewan companies making commercial enterprises from new technologies.
