Considering a P3 model for new Rider stadium

The City of Regina is proposing using a P3 (Public Private Partnership) model for the construction of the new Rider stadium. Prairie Director Colin Craig approves of this approach but adds taxpayers should also be consulted before any tax dollars are kicked in for stadium construction.

Why should a cent be spent of tax money, the developers know how to profit, let that happen, any access by road traffic that might be wanted by the profiteers should be their expense, not the taxpayers. No money in ,no money out. Mixed investment really does mystify most, but the developers quite often resort to catch phrases such as -you'd do the same if you were me. Well the taxpayers aren't in the majority going to all appreciate the stadium, and how frequently closed and probably even the homeless won't be welcome on the nights an emptiness occurs. Oh well funds placed in the right pockets will solve the city approval. Yes some job creation a happens but that doesn't depend on the funder.
