The Canadian Taxpayers Federation, Canada’s leading advocacy group dedicated to lower taxes, less waste and accountable government has an opening for the position of Alberta Communications Director.
The Alberta Director will report to the CTF’s Vice President, Communications, and will serve as the CTF’s principal representative and spokesperson in the province.
The director oversees day-to-day communication with CTF staff, supporters, the media and public, as well as setting and implementing public policy objectives and strategies for the CTF in Alberta.
The director should have experience in politics or public policy work, with a related university degree. Experience with media, public speaking, writing and campaign organization is a must. Proficiency in French is an asset, but not a requirement.
The director must be a flexible and creative individual, prepared to work long hours and take initiative in a dynamic and often unpredictable work environment. Above all, the director must be enthusiastic and committed to the mission of the CTF.
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
