Alberta

Calgary city hall has a $100-million fund it uses to dole out cash to businesses.

Instead of politicians and bureaucrats risking taxpayers’ money picking business winners and losers, council should get rid of this slush fund and lower taxes for everyone.

We, the undersigned, call on Calgary’s mayor and city councillors to scrap the $100 million corporate slush fund.

You have the power to change who influences politics in our country: big unions, big corporations and government-funded special interest groups can be challenged by the contributions of thousands of individual taxpayers who care to make a difference.
