If you’re a whistleblower, we can help
It takes a lot of courage to be a whistleblower and the Canadian Taxpayers Federation can help.
First, everyone at the CTF is contractually obligated to protect the identity of whistleblowers. In fact, we’ve made sure no data is tracked on this page and information you provide won’t include any identifying information. That’s how carefully we protect the identity of whistleblowers.
The only exception would be a very rare circumstance where we’re compelled to disclose information by law, but even then, that’s the kind of thing we would almost certainly fight long and hard in the courts.
The reason is simple: when whistleblowers speak up, they save taxpayers money. But whistleblowers are often risking their jobs and more to take a stand. So we’re committed to standing with them.
If you’re a whistleblower, documents are the key. You can provide those documents to us directly. Or you can point us to specific documents we can obtain through access-to-information requests. No matter what, we always need the paperwork to prove what’s happening.
There are several ways to reach out to us:
Contact our investigative journalism team at [email protected]. Remember, protecting your identity a condition of employment for them.
Go old school and mail documents to us (you could even use a proverbial brown envelope). Here’s the address:
