To the Premier,
British Columbians shop for used items in order to save money.
The Provincial Sales Tax is applied to everything from used running shoes at thrift shops to used vehicles at car dealerships.
It’s unfair to charge a sales tax on items that have already been sold and had the PST paid previously.
Charging the PST on used items, including used vehicles, costs B.C. families hundreds of dollars more.
We, the undersigned, call on the premier to eliminate the PST on the sale of used items in the province of B.C.
