Author: Kevin Gaudet 2009/05/29

Will auto bailouts do any good?

As the bill rises, Kevin Gaudet of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation expresses his skepticism in this interview, May 29, 2009.

CAW clings to pensions while GM requests bailout

As General Motors faced possible bankruptcy, the Canadian Auto Workers union was not willing to surrender the pension benefits of its workers. Kevin Gaudet of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation said bailing out the auto sector or any other business is a waste of cash because that money is often not repaid. First broadcast February 20, 2009.
