OTTAWA / VICTORIA / REGINA: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) has accepted the resignation of its federal director, Walter Robinson. Mr. Robinson's last day with the CTF will be Friday, December 19, 2003.
On the Map in Ottawa
" Opening an office in the nation's capital in 1997 and hiring Walter Robinson were two of the best decisions the CTF ever made," said National Communications Director Troy Lanigan. "Walter has made an immeasurable contribution, not only in elevating the CTF at the national level but in achieving real and tangible results for taxpayers in Canada. Walter is a tireless and dedicated crusader for the cause of lower taxes, less waste and accountable government. We wish him every success in the future."
Ending Bracket Creep
" Marshalling the CTF's effort to end bracket creep in the 2000 budget is by far my most rewarding experience," said Robinson. "Taxpayers saved $20.7 billion in personal income taxes over five years. Even Paul Martin acknowledged our leadership role on this file."
