CTF to Appear Before Alberta Business Tax Review Committee

EDMONTON: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) will be appearing before the Alberta Business Tax Review Committee on Tuesday June 26, 2000 to present recommendations for the reform and reduction of Alberta's business taxes.

The Committee, established by the province in the 2000 Budget, is currently evaluating the impact of business taxes on Alberta's economic climate and international competitiveness. The Committee will submit a report to the Provincial Treasurer later this fall.

CTF Alberta Director Mitchel Gray will be available to discuss the Federation's recommendations, including a $1.5 billion tax cut, immediately following the presentation
