NDP's Peter Stoffer on the Long-Gun Registry

Author: Derek Fildebrandt 2010/09/20

Peter Stoffer - long-time public opponent of the long-gun registry and Nova Scotia NDP MP - announced today he will be flip-flopping and voting to keep the long-gun registry. Like most politicians, he has the consistency of jello when the orders of party bosses conflict with promises to constituents.

Rural Liberals and New Democrats talk a good game about the long-gun registry at election time. Perhaps they never figured that a backbencher's private members bill would force them to stand up and be counted.

The CTF is running ads to help convince wavering MPs. You can do your bit here.
