Despite several city councilors saying they would not support raising Calgary property taxes higher than the rate of inflation most broke their word. In its recent budget, Calgary increased property taxes by 3.8% while the inflation rate sat at 1.3%. CTF Alberta Director says the council needed to cut spending.
