Statement on Royal Relocation

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation released the following statement in response to reports that The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Her Royal Highness Meghan Markle, may be moving to Canada:

"We wish every young couple all the best as they work hard to become financially independent and that certainly includes Meghan and Harry. We're confident the future is bright for an accomplished actor and helicopter pilot.

"While the monarchy is part of our government system and everything in government comes with costs, we'll certainly be keeping a close eye on this situation to make sure bills don't get out of hand for taxpayers."
